CAMP PROGRAM INFO: ACA Accredited Nobles Day Camp adheres to the philosophy of our founders Grandin Wise and George K. Bird, who established the camp in 1948. We provide a safe and supportive environment for our campers to enjoy recreation in a fun and non-competitive atmosphere. Our campers learn to take positive risks and respect the rights of others while developing positive self-esteem and building long-lasting friendships.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Although we would like to help as many children attend Nobles Day Camp as possible, we have limited funds for camper assistance. We do offer a sliding scale fee for the following 2 week blocks: Week 1 & 2 and/ or Week 7 & 8. Timeline: Completed applications are processed on a first come, first serve basis between February 1–April 30, 2015, provided that space is still available. Does not apply to Early Bird Special. CAMP FACILITIES: The wooded, 135-acre Milton, MA campus is one of the most beautiful small college campuses in New England. Campers will enjoy Curry's outstanding facilities which include eleven outdoor tennis courts, grass and turf soccer fields, indoor and outdoor basketball courts, outdoor swimming pool, new air conditioned dorms and a wonderful dining facility.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: At Curry College, we offer two classifications for each week.

The Comprehensive, All Skills Camp (COED: Ages 8-18) is programmed for three different proficiency levels: beginners, intermediates and advanced players — of all ages. Each student will be tested weekly and placed in a group of similar ability, and age. Beginners will be playing soccer in just a few days; intermediates will improve all aspects of their game; and advanced players will sharpen their game to a competitive edge.

The High Potential/Elite Camp (COED: Ages 11-18) is our intensified program for aspiring tournament players and is ideal for competitive players who presently play or wish to try out for their high school or pre-high school teams or other outside leagues.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Brimmer and May Day Camp is specifically designed with the younger child in mind. Our goal is to enrich your child's summer experience through play, success, and engagement with other children and with our committed staff. All of our Head Counselors and Specialty Counselors are over 21 years old and most specialize in early childhood education and development. Every day each child from 3 to 10 years old will do a variety of activities: Music, Arts and Crafts, Sports and Games, Drama, Lego, Clay, Nature, Swimming.

Every child at Brimmer and May Day Camp swims every day in our heated pool and no one needs to come to camp knowing how to swim. We will teach your child how to swim!

Our Specialty Programs are taught by Brimmer and May faculty who have designed their program to enhance your child's summer learning in a creative way. They will be encouraged to attempt new things, test themselves and learn new stuff! They will get an hour of free swim in our heated pool every day.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: The Counselor-in-Training program at Brimmer and May will provide an opportunity for students entering ninth and tenth grade to teach and work with younger campers as apprentice counselors while learning the ropes. CITs (also known as Campers-in-Transition) are under the supervision and direction of experienced professional staff. CITs will get an opportunity to work with each age group, and when appropriate, be asked to lead activities. Weekly meetings provide feedback and guidance throughout the summer.

CIT applicants must be available for the full camp day (8:15-4:15 p.m.) and can select either a full summer (all 8 weeks of the program) or either of two four-week sessions (first or second half of summer). CIT's are also required to attend pre-camp staff orientation.

Dorms : The dorms are very comfortable. Wall-to-wall carpet, rooms with lots of space for all of your clothing and equipment. Each lounge has a television, refrigerator and microwave accessible to the campers.

95% of the rooms have 2 children per room, 2% have 3 children per room, 1% have 4 children per room and 2% are single occupancy rooms (typically for our oldest campers)

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The World Sports Camp mission is to create a safe and positive sports environment, where children from around the world, ages 8 through 16, can interact while improving their athletic skills. (Basketball, Soccer, Tennis, Golf) This is accomplished through positive reinforcement coaching, with skill level training, from high level, skilled coaches and counselors. World Sports Camp allows for campers to choose which sports and to what degree they will be involved.

By empowering campers to make their own choices, we feel that their involvement will be more enthusiastic and they will have a greater desire to participate. Attention is given to treating all campers equally, with value and understanding given to the beginners as well as the advanced athlete.

World Sports Camp draws campers from 86 countries, all over the world. Approximately 35% of our campers hail from outside the United States and 65% are American. The opportunity to exchange cultural differences and participate in sports and other activities with peers from around the world is second to none.

Camp life and off campus activities are an integral part of the World Sports Camp experience. Developing new national and international friendships through sports and other camp activities, improves the quality of life for all involved. Fairness, quality sportsmanship and enforcement of rules and regulations are emphasized both on and off the playing field.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: C.I.T.'s (Camper In Training) This is a true leadership program at World Sports Camp. These campers must be 16 years of age and all but one period of each day, they will follow the normal camp schedule. During that one period, the CIT’s will shadow a coach to learn about the different coaching techniques. By the end of their stay at World Sports Camp, each CIT camper will develop a lesson for an entire period and will teach their lesson to the campers, as if they were the Head Coach!! They will have the help of the other coaches, but this will allow the CIT's to get out of their comfort zone and try something new.

As well, we have a dedicated CIT counselor who will evaluate each CIT at the end of each week to let each CIT know what they have done well and what needs improvement. In addition, because of their dedication and hard work we take all of the CIT's on a CIT trip. We allow the CIT’s to decide what this will be. For example, this past year, we went to mini-golf, laser tag, a movie and dinner off the campus as their trip of choice.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our facilities are always first class. Most of the No.1 Soccer Camps are held on renown college campuses or private schools throughout the United States.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: No. 1 Soccer Camps offers a camp for all levels of players.

1) Youth Academy - Designed for boys and girls ages 6-10. Fun, exciting and engaging activities are all part of the week. We do this with individual and small group activities with the introduction of fun technical exercises and games that are engaging and pertinent for the age group and ability level. With our unique curriculum youth players will be exposed to the proper technique such as shooting, dribbling, 1v1, crossing and much more.

2) Junior Academy - Designed for boys & girls, goalkeepers and field players ages 10-13. The program has been designed to build a foundation that will help the participant’s progress to the next level. This will be accomplished in a fun, entertaining and positive environment. Each session will be progressive in nature and will conclude with a relative small-sided game that will highlight the topic of the session. Competitive tournaments will be played throughout the week, and be the highlight of our evening sessions.

3) Senior Academy - Designed for High School players, including incoming freshmen, who are ready to play and be trained at the next level. . Throughout the week, players will be put in a competitive environment that will bring out their very best. Players will be exposed to the four dimensions of training, Physical, Technical, Tactical and Psychological. In our unique evening competitions, players will have the opportunity to compete against other teams, other players and themselves.

4) College Prep Academy - Our goal is to provide an incredible environment where serious soccer players will be exposed to the highest level of instruction in anticipation of playing at the highest level possible. High Performance Seminars will be led by trusted experts in their field and will include: Sports Nutrition, Soccer Specific Conditioning, ACT/SAT Preparation and Sport Psychology. Goalkeepers and field players will be exposed to an intensive training environment for those who are serious about fulfilling their potential.

5) College Showcase Camps - Now available for the serious soccer player at select No.1 Soccer Camp sites throughout the country. The directors of our College ID Showcase Camps are all currently active college coaches. In addition, the College Showcase ID Camps allow you to be seen by, and to work directly with college coaches and their assistants from programs all over the US. The philosophy of the College Showcase ID Camps is to provide you with a more intimate environment from which to experience what College coaches expect from their players.

CAMP FACILITIES: Located only one hour west of Boston, picturesque Worcester State University spans 58 acres in the residential west side of Worcester, Massachusetts.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Attend a camp where all aspects of soccer are covered. Instruction is available to boys and girls, ages 10-18, playing at any ability level from beginner to advanced. Players are grouped based on their skill level on the first day. All positions receive catered instruction including goalies. Individuals and teams are welcome.

CAMP FACILITIES: The Wilson Collegiate Tennis Camps at Williams will be hosted at the Varsity Tennis Complex featuring 18 hard courts and 6 clay courts and is widely considered one of the finest tennis facilities in college tennis.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have outdoor picnic groves, outdoor tennis and basketball courts, a baseball diamond and soccer field. Through the woods there is a high and low ropes course and an archery range. Our pool allows us to swim rain or shine, and we have a large gym, several racquetball courts, and an indoor climbing wall.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Youth who are eager to learn, develop and enhance their leadership skills in the camp setting, apply to be C.I.T.s. These future counselors train in daily sessions: covering many areas such as effective listening, peer relationships, role modeling and programming.

C.I.T.s work with different age groups learning developmental stages and finding their preferred age group. As a group project, the C.I.T.s will plan and implement a camp-wide carnival.

The C.I.T. program includes a 5-day, 4-night recreational trip to Club Getaway in Kent, CT, from July 15 - July 19. Teens will bond as a group and enjoy boating, rock climbing, group challenge activities, trapeze, giant swing and evening socials. Each applicant is interviewed after registering.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have a 15,000 square foot training facility and we use a 22 foot water slide in our backyard for even more fun.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our camp has been running in this same location for 25 years. We have USA Gymnastics safety certified coaches. Our gymnast to coach ratio is 8:1. We love children and our focus in teaching in a fun productive manner with the interest of the child as priority number one. We treat each child like they are our own.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: We run year round gymnastics training for 18 months to 18 years both recreational and competitive programs available. We also offer Martial Arts.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Manice Education Center is an opportunity for campers to explore the environment while growing as leaders. During their 1-3 week experience, students will go on a backpacking and/or canoeing trip focused on learning about ecosystems and themselves. By taking risks and challenging themselves physically and mentally, students leave feeling confident and more connected to their natural surroundings. CAMP FACILITIES: At 200 feet, the Oliver Hazard Perry is the first ocean-going full-rigged ship to be built in the U.S. in over 100 years. It is the largest civilian sail training vessel in America. She has berths for 49 people overnight, and with 17 crew, a low camper to crew ratio creates a safe and fun environment. The ship is equipped with a steel hull, 3 masts, with square sails on all three masts, 20 sails totaling 14,000 square feet, and 7 miles of rope and wire. The engines run on a bio-diesel blend, and the ship is equipped with a modern galley (on-board kitchen), central air, an on-deck science lab, a library and wheel-chair accessibility above and below decks.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: With 17 professional crew and a capacity for 30-34 campers, our program promotes a dynamic and safe learning environment with a 2:1 ratio of campers to instructors. Campers will feel the thrill of steering a 500-ton ship, and learn to work the yards and sails while exploring the beautiful coasts of New England. They will learn safety at sea and perform important safety drills while acquiring skills in navigation, seamanship, sail handling, knots, and the language of the boat. Campers will explore the underwater world through snorkeling. They will understand wind, waves, tides and the ecology of sandy and rocky seashores. Sunsets, sunrises and the night sky will serve as the backdrop for this incredible experience, in addition to marine phosphorescence, dolphins and whales. Teamwork is an integral part of success onboard the boat, and in addition to learning about themselves, and achieving things they never imagined, they will make friendships to last a lifetime.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: In addition to witnessing the natural magic of the ocean and its inhabitants, each student crew will make friendships to last a lifetime. Campers will take responsibility for themselves and their fellow shipmates, learning to work as a team with others as they hoist and brace the yards on the ship's 130-foot tall rig and apply acquired navigational skills to guide the ship's course on a voyage of discovery.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
Accredited Day Camp in South Easton, MA seeks teachers or individuals with education certification to work with children ages 3-14. You will be responsible for leading groups of children through their daily activities. Applicant will also be responsible for supervising other staff members. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Drama Camp is run and instructed by Amy Kimball, who has worked in the summer camp setting for 32 summers. She directed Summer Camp for 20 summers. Amy is an experienced Clown, Mime, Performer, Director, Certified Teacher and has had every role at camp from counselor to unit head to specialist to Director. Amy has her BA in Education and has directed over 15 theatrical productions over the years. She will be working with help from a talented staff of performers who have expertise in singing and acting. Amy's staff will go through a camp staff orientation to understand their roles and responsibilities as counselors.

Our philosophy is for campers to create, learn, enjoy and work together all in a positive setting. Drama camp is about process but at the end of the week, the campers will perform for their friends and families.

Counselors are the heart of Camp Good News. Our hard-working staff is selected on the basis of their camp skills, love of people, and sense of responsibility.

The waterfront program is carefully supervised by Red Cross Water Safety Instructors. Registered nurses are on 24-hour duty at the camp. A pediatrician's office is adjacent to the campgrounds, and there are two excellent hospitals on-Cape.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Leadership Training Program (LT): is a tuition-less program for selected youth ages 16-17 who show leadership skills and who have some experience either at Camp Good News or other residential camp program. LT applicants must have strong recommendation, preferably from their previous camp counselors or camp directors and a willingness to learn new things.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Optional Trips
Optional trips are available to campers for an additional fee. On vehicles owned by the camp, the young people are taken to places of historic interest. After you register, you will receive more details and sign-up information by mail.

Optional Transportation
Camp Good News will provide transportation to and from the airport, South Station, and local bus stations for a small, additional fee. The camp staff will meet the arriving camper at the security checkpoint and ensure they board the correct departing plane/bus.

Optional Tutoring
For campers needing extra help in schoolwork, skilled tutors are available to review or make up courses. English lessons are available for our international campers.

First Sundays of every session families are welcomed to visit from 10:30 – 5:00.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Since 1979, Skyhawks sports has led safe, fun and skill-focused sports camps and programs for youth between the ages of 3-12.

We offer many different different sports--and countless ways for your child to grow. The camps range from soccer to baseball to our popular mulit-sport camps where kids sample three different sports (soccer, basketball and baseball) in one camp.

Our camps and programs are offered locally throughout over 500 communities. The format includes traditional week-long summer day camps and year-round after-school programs that range from 45 minutes to 6 hours in duration, per day. Our progression of camps and programs, led by our expert staff, are generated toward youth looking for a sport introduction or those who want to refine and master their sport-specific skills.

At Skyhawks we go the extra mile to focus on safety, and we have a long-standing proven safety track record and processes to prove it. For example, all Skyhawks Sports camps start and end with our unique safety process called "Gate System and Parking Lot Duty." This process is where coaches come and greet both parents and campers in the parking lot when parents pull up to drop off their children.

Our staff guide the kids onto the field/court and out of harm's way by funneling them into our gate system. Eye contact is maintained from each one of our staff members until the kids make it onto the field/court where they are grouped by age. This efficient process ensures safety. Additionally, it develops a level of trust between parent, coach, and child that ultimately leads to a fun and skill-focused camp for youth.

The Junior Camp Village is an extraordinary introduction to the Rivers Day Camp experience offering a wide range of age appropriate activities, a safe environment, and a structured daily schedule. Children are placed in co-ed groups according to age with a 1:3 counselor to camper ratio of experienced and nurturing counselors.

8-week discount:
If your child enrolls for 8 weeks of Rivers Summer Programs, you will receive a 5% discount.

Family discount:
If one child in your family attends 6 or more weeks of Rivers Day Camp, additional children from the same family will receive 5% discount.

Refer-a-friend discount:
If you refer a friend who is new to the Rivers Day Camp and your friend registers, you will receive a discount equal to 5% of your friend’s tuition.
