BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Camp Jump Start at the Living Well Village. Your success starts here. We are a whole health camp that specializes in weight loss. Camp Jump Start is one of a kind, as it is the only non-profit weight loss camp in the nation. We are mission driven which gives long term results as opposed to other camps that just exist to make a profit. The program is overseen by health professionals who guide campers to weight loss success through fitness activities, behavior modification, and nutritional education along with well-balanced, portion-controlled meals. The gain in self-esteem is incredible: Campers leave feeling empowered to make healthier choices in order to maintain weight loss. We offer lifestyle emphasis and FREE follow-up.
We are open to kids and teens and offer traditional camp activities with non-competitive sports, as well as many adventure experiences in mountain biking and hiking. There is a pool and lake on the Living Well Village property. See our website for session dates and prices.

CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Basketball, Football, Weightloss, Soccer, Horses/Equestrian, Swimming, Waterfront/Aquatics, Volleyball, Team Sports, and more. Aerobics, Strength Training, Cardio Classes, & Nutrition Education.
CAMP LOCATION: We are located about 30 minutes from downtown St. Louis, with easy access to Lambert-St Louis airport for pick up of out of town campers.
Camp Jump Start sits on 250 acres of land with a 5 acre lake, sports field, and outdoor challenge course.
CAMP FACILITIES: We have air conditioned cabins, spacious showers and bathroom stalls, laundry machines free of charge in each unit.
We also have a dining hall, education building, strength building, arts and crafts, and a large outdoor sporting field. We also have an outdoor challenge course, rock wall, and archery area.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our camp is accredited by the ACA and Better Business Bureau.
Our programming is through health professionals and college internship students who guide campers to weight loss success through fitness activities, behavior modification, and nutritional education along with well-balanced, portion-controlled meals.

Position opening for a registered nurse wishing to expand the experience as an assistant director. Our health and wellness program allows nurses the opportunity to practice prevention for themselves and to teach others how to avoid illness and injury.
We are hiring general counselors, lifeguards, and fitness/nutrition class instructors.
We can also serve as an internship as required by some college programs
A nine week commitment is required:
- Staff Training Week: June 5-10th
- Camp Sessions: June 11- August 5th
- Last Day/Contract Ends: August 6th
