BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Located on Camp Kweebec’s 200+ acres in Schwenksville, Pennsylvania, Summer L.I.F.E. Traditional Day & Overnight Camp offers a camp experience for youth and young adults, ages 8–21, with special needs. Summer LIFE fosters independence and cultivates friendships within the context of traditional camp activities such as fishing, swimming, boating, arts & crafts, sports & games, cooking and environmental education. Campers have been diagnosed with high-functioning autism, speech-language disorders, developmental disabilities, learning differences or social-emotional challenges.
SPECIAL NEEDS CAMPERS: Summer LIFE supports campers with high-functioning autism, speech-language disorders, developmental disabilities, learning differences or social-emotional challenges.
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Basketball, Football, Weightloss, Horses/Equestrian, Swimming, Tennis, Waterfront/Aquatics, Team Sports, Academics, Adventure, Travel, Wilderness/Nature, Fine Arts/Crafts, and more. Sports, Swimming, Horseback Riding, Art, Aquatics & Dance Are Offered At The Camp Facility. In Addition, Activities Such As Zip Lines, Fishing, Ropes Courses, Boating Are Available For Campers Who Express Interest In Them. Every Activity Is Carefully Supervised With The Safety & Health Of Each Camper As The Primary Consideration.
CAMP LOCATION: Summer L.I.F.E. Day & Overnight Camp is located on Camp Kweebec’s 200+ acres in Schwenksville, Pennsylvania.
CAMP FACILITIES: Camp Kweebec is set on over 200 pristine acres in Pennsylvania's beautiful Perkiomen Valley. Camp Kweebec's facility has something for everyone! The state-of-the-art facilities offer athletic fields, gorgeous performance and visual art studios, twin private lakes, heated pools, and beautiful cabins,manicured horseback riding facility, zip lines, six tennis courts, high and low rope adventure courses and so much more.

Located on Camp Kweebec’s 200+ acres in Schwenksville, Pennsylvania, Summer L.I.F.E. offers campers with special needs the opportunity to cultivate friendships within the context of traditional camp activities, such as fishing, swimming, boating, arts and crafts, sports and games, cooking and environmental education.
Transportation for the day camp is provided to and from our Malvern campus and the camp property in Schwenksville. Families also may choose to drop off and pick up their campers at Camp Kweebec daily.
Families of overnight campers are responsible for transportation to the camp property on Sundays. Families may choose to pick overnight campers up at the camp property or at our Malvern, Pennsylvania campus on Fridays.
Summer L.I.F.E. offers low camper-to-staff ratio, experienced camp staff, ongoing behavior support, structured daily programming, engaging activities and real world learning. Staff includes PA certified special education teachers, a full-time nurse and behavioral support specialists.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: School Year Programs (Respite)
Recognizing the importance of year-round recreational and respite programming for youth of all abilities, Summer Matters offers daytime and overnight respite programs throughout the year. These programs offer affordable, engaging opportunities for youth to develop independence, strengthen healthy relationships and broaden their recreational experiences in the real world while giving their families much-needed respite. OTHER CAMP INFO: Many, but not all, of our campers have been diagnosed with high-functioning autism or Asperger’s Syndrome and have difficulty connecting with their peers. They deeply desire friendships, but due to difficulties with social interactions, spend much of their time feeling socially isolated and lonely.

$875 per session
Day camps run from 9-3 p.m.
2018 Overnight Camp
Session 1: August 12–17
Weekend Only: August 17-19
Session 2: August 19–24
Two-week Session: August 12–24
$1600 per session; $335 weekend; $3530 two-week session
Families of overnight campers are responsible for transportation to the camp property on Sunday.
